About me
What’s to tell?
Currently I’m a probationer with the Church of Scotland. In 2010 I graduated with an MTh by Research at Edinburgh University. Previously, I graduated with BD(Hons) in July 09. All this is by way of following what I believe to be God’s calling for me. It certainly feels ‘right’ and I have no doubts that I am doing what I am supposed to be. I’ll post more of how I got here on another page. Not that it merits a page all on its own, simply that it’s tidier that way.
I’m also married, have two daughters. I stay in Falkirk but hail from Hamilton originally. I was also formerly the ‘owner’ (servant) of three cats who have grown old and passed on.
Prior to going to uni I was a development engineer with an electronics company (hence my geek tendencies) and I received a 25-year long service award the week before I left.
Part of my journey into ministry has been about doing placements and using a journal to reflect on what happens during them. Being a geek, I decided to have a go at a blog for the purpose. That was back in August 2007 and I intend to continue blogging/journalling my thoughts as and when I have time and inclination. Not all of my posts will be visible, but, where discretion allows, I’ll post what I can.
Other than that, the blog will be full of my inane witterings as I try to make sense of life, the universe and everything. Oh yes… and God too!
[...] need to start journalling (for reasons you’ll find in the about me pages), so why not make it a bit more hi-tech? This does mean that not all entries will be made [...]
