About me

What’s to tell?

I am an ordained minister with the Church of Scotland. My charge is Kirriemuir: St. Andrew’s linked with Oathlaw Tannadice. I was ordained and inducted to this charge on the 23rd of February 2012.

In 2010 I graduated with an MTh by Research at Edinburgh University. Previously, I graduated with  BD(Hons) in July 09.

I’m also married, have two daughters. I stay in Kirriemuir but hail from Hamilton originally. I was also formerly the ‘owner’ (servant) of three cats who have grown old and passed on.

Prior to going to uni I was a development engineer with an electronics company (hence my geek tendencies) and I received a 25-year long service award the week before I left.

Part of my journey into ministry involved doing placements and using a journal to reflect on what happened during them. Being a geek, I decided to have a go at a blog for the purpose. That was back in August 2007 and I intend to continue blogging/journalling my thoughts as and when I have time and inclination. Not all of my posts will be visible, but, where discretion allows, I’ll post what I can.

Other than that, the blog will be full of my inane witterings as I try to make sense of life, the universe and everything. Oh yes… and God too!
